Lake Management committee
Committee Lead: Mike Hoppe
The lake management committee has worked with the WDNR to submit our aquatic plant management mechanical harvesting permit application. Once approved, this permit will allow us to move ahead with our plans to test Clear Lakes Eco-Harvester this summer. The test is intended to evaluate the efficiency of this machine's ability to pull Eurasian water milfoil from the root vs cutting or snapping from the stem. As these plans and dates for testing are established, we will share with everyone so you can observe the operation and results.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR THE 2024 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE!
Given the challenges we are facing right now, we are looking to significantly expand our membership and support. Finding ways to identify, recruit, and retain members is essential to the impact, growth and success of the Hancock Lake Association’s efforts.
We hope that every member will reach out to others who endorse our mission and enjoy all our lake and all it has to offer (i.e., fishing, swimming, kayaking, boating, observing nature, snowmobiling, etc.) and ask them to join. Becoming a member brings them a voice, and a vote, in the Lake Association’s decisions to support our purpose.
